MOSES:
BRICKS WITHOUT STRAW

Teacher Notes

Appropriate use in the classroom

This narrative raises some interesting areas for discussion, even with quite young pupils. Pupils need to become aware of the challenging and fascinating nature of religion. They will never see this if religion is diminished to either the banal or the predictable. The teacher will need to decide how far to venture with the more challenging concepts. But it is always worth trying to go further than might be thought possible because it is not easy to gauge the spiritual development of pupils. Some might be surprisingly mature and these can move the class on with them.
