MOSES:
PASSOVER AND EXODUS

Teacher Notes

Appropriate use in the classroom
  • The Exodus is so central to Judaism that it is worth spending time on it because it encapsulates the faith of Israel.

  • The themes it expresses remain relevant to human life.

  • Different themes suit different age groups. The teacher must be selective. Imaginative presentation can bring the material alive for pupils and relate it to their experience and world for example, the pupils can be actively engaged in a re-enactment of the Passover meal or planning a pilgrimage.
