Scenario 3
A Year 6 class is expecting to do a walk-through Communion Service as part of their RE lesson and you will be leading them. Some parents have objected. What happens next?
Clues
- Discuss the situation with the Headteacher.
- Send a letter, perhaps with the Headteacher, to parents of Year 6. Introduce yourself and explain the role that this work will have in the curriculum. Explain what will happen and what children will or will not be expected to take part in.
- Recognise that parents may still wish to withdraw their children.
