Teacher-Led Inset
Over the past nine years the St. Gabriel's Programme has provided a number a grants to RE co-ordinators in primary schools, and RE specialists in secondary schools who want to develop imaginative and practical projects in RE INSET. Teachers have applied for grants of up to £2000 to assist with various projects.
Previous and on-going projects include teacher training, producing a magazine for RE Teachers, creating a software package and a CD-ROM, RE and ICT in primary schools and RE for students with special needs.

Institutional Projects
The provision of grants to institutions has allowed for existing expertise and structures for the provision of in-service training to be built apon. The work has focused on ensuring a range of different types of providers and styles, and has recognised the range of teacher wants and needs. Resources have been offered as a catalyst for stimulating thought, planning and decisions.
