The 'Mind Friendly Learning Framework'
A recent projects entitled, 'Learning to Learn in RE: planning RE Lessons using the Mind Friendly Learning Framework' studies new approaches to learning and considers their impact on the RE curriculum. It considers the need for an explicit model for learning, the concept of multiple intelligences and the need to address different learning dispositions (visual, auditory and kinaesthetic).
The 'Mind Friendly Framework' project can be viewed online.
Peace Inset Day
Another project has come from a partnership of schools who are aiming to raise the profile of RE as an exciting and relevant subject by involving all schools within their Partnership in a cross-phase RE Inset day on the theme of Peace. The project aims to be a vehicle to support and encourage teachers who are less confident about teaching RE and to raise the profile of the subject with pupils and parents.
