Janet Orchard
Janet Orchard, previously a successful Head of RE in two London schools, is co-author of the well-regarded GCSE textbook series, Religions in Focus. From September 2007 she will be the first Teacher Education Research Fellow in RE at Oxford University Department of Educational Studies. She was awarded a Farmington Fellowship in 1999 and a Farmington Institute Special Needs Millenium Award in 2001. As the National Society Special Needs Award winner in 1999-2000 she wrote ‘Raising the Standard: Flying the Flag’ (2001), a resource book to support challenging learning and teaching in RE for all pupils at Key Stage 3.
