About the Leaders
Michael Wilcockson
Michael Wilcockson was brought up in Cambridge and studied Theology at Balliol College, Oxford. After completing his PGCE at Pembroke College, Cambridge he was appointed Head of Divinity at Aldenham School and later at The Leys School, Cambridge. From 1996 he has been Head of Divinity at Eton College. He was a Farmington Fellow at Harries Manchester College, Oxford in 2003.
He has written several books for Hodder: Issues of Life and Death (1999), Sex and Relationships (2000) and St Mark’s Gospel: a New Approach (2005) as well as A Student’s Guide to AS Religious Studies (2003, Rhinegold), A Student’s Guide to A2 Religious Studies (2005, Rhinegold) and Preparing for Common Entrance Religious Studies (2006, ISEB). He is Chief Examiner for A Level religious studies for a large examination board and chief setter for Common Entrance religious studies for ISEB.
